Three important things to make everything on the previous page make more sense:

1. I will be spending the next 7 months of my life living and studying in Shanghai, China.

2. I am living, studying and traveling with a group of fellow sophomores from Pepperdine University.

3. I’m really, ridiculously excited.

Now, if you’re reading this, then chances are the following three things are true:

a. I know you and/or am related to you.

b. I will miss seeing/talking/spending time with you while I’m abroad.

c. I hope to share some of my experiences with you via this blog.

I know, I know… the idea of a blog about “my year spent abroad” is rather trite. And I’m not even going to pretend that all of you will follow my ramblings regularly. But, my hope is that (through a hodge-podge of pictures, videos and eloquent-yet-wildly-entertaining prose) I will convey a bit of what I learn, see, taste and live over these next seven months. Come what may, it will be an adventure. :)
